I didn’t understand their appeal at first, but now I’m hooked on Technorati’s new tags. So much so that I’ve added tag support to the keywords plug-in I just finished.
What are these tags, you ask? You can see examples of them just below - with just a click, you’re whisked off to Technorati where they present you with recent content that’s been similarly tagged by others. It makes for a refreshing change from searching on Google: the results are new and come from a much smaller pool.
Of course, I’m betting that my enthusiasm will wear off once everyone implements tags and the results get watered down…
After a week of waiting for my tags to pop up in Technorati's index, I ran across this useful tidbit on Lisa Jill's site. Now that I've added the tags to my Atom feed we'll see if they pop up...
